The Nevada City Classic is promoted by Tour of Nevada City Bicycle Shop owner Duane Strawser and the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce.  The Sierra Express Bicycle Club, Sierra Express Racing Team, and Bicyclists of Nevada County provide a  majority of the race support and volunteers.  The top-notch Nevada City Classic  race website is designed and hosted by local company Designscape.
