Welcome to SERT Membership 101.  Everything you need to know as a member of SERT should be found here.  If it isn't, well then I've left it out and you should ask me (Craig_Lindberg@Yahoo.Com) to get it in here.

On-line SERT Resources

The team has a number of on-line resources.  First and foremost is our Yahoo e-mail list where we post upcomming race information, coordinate training rides, arrange ridesharing to races, post race reports, and so forth.  If you're not on the e-mail list then you're missing out on everything.  The yahoo groups website is at:

 http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/seracingteam/

Races and Results Table:  If you're not signed up for the e-mail list (ask me to put you on it) then you'll miss out on the data we host there as well.  Members can upload images and files to the site, but the main item of interest is the database section where we have the "2009 Races and Results" table.  As you pre-register for an event, you enter those races into the table.  That way the rest of us know who is doing what and we can rideshare and such.  After completing your race you update the table with your result.  It doesn't matter if you're first or last, we just need to know how many events the team members entered so we can deliver it to our sponsors to let them know of our activities.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use the table which is at

http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/seracingteam/database

SERT also maintains a YouTube account to host any ride videos our members may wish to share.  I will e-mail the account password to you upon request.

The rest of the information you'll need as the year progresses can be found on this website (in theory).  The member web pages include the waiver form, clothing order form, team brochure, target race list, upcoming events, and so forth.  This can be found at

On-Line Race Resources

There is a variety of racing information available on-line, but the two you need to know about are the Northern California/Nevada Cycling Association web page (NCNCA) and the United States Cycling Organization web page (USAC).  The NCNCA web page provides a schedule of all the race events for the year and links to all of the promoter's websites so that you can register for your event.  It also includes forms, reference information, and a host of other resources.

http://www.ncnca.org/

The USAC website is where you go to obtain a racing license for MTB, Road, or Track.  There's also a lot of useful reference information in there (race rules) and once you're in they will also track your race results (which is usually incomplete or wrong which you may want to fix by contacting them).
